The penalties for knowingly employing unauthorized aliens will range from a minimum of $375, and may be as high as $16,000. First, the CDC has updated the vaccination requirements, some of which will now include: </font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><font face="Verdana" size="2">Rotavirus vaccine, hepatitis A vaccine, meningococcal vaccine, human papillomavirus vaccine, and zoster vaccine as age-appropriate to the vaccination requirements. </font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><font face="Verdana" size="2"></font> </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><font face="Verdana" size="2">Hepatitis B vaccine is required through 18 years of age. </font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><font face="Verdana" size="2">Influenza vaccine is required for children ages 6-59 months. </font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><font face="Verdana" size="2"></font> </p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA"><font face="Verdana" size="2">Second, the CDC has changed its policy on how it will deal with applicants that test positive for tuberculosis. Beginning with eight countries that it has deemed most important, the CDC will begin following new procedures for screening for tuberculosis, and will provide clearer standards for the treatment of applicants that are diagnosed with tuberculosis. DHS will also automatically extend Employment Authorization Documents (EAD) for an additional six months, making them valid until September 17, 2008. Currently there are 27 countries from Europe and Asia that are members of the VWP.
